Apple Day

This family celebration of the apple harvest offers visitors young and old the chance to join the market's traders in the celebration of the complete lifecycle of the apple and apple growers.

The market's traders will be on hand to share their knowledge and enthusiasm and there will be plenty of opportunity to sample a vast array of apple varieties.

Get stuck into a host of apple treats, take part in the apple peeling competition, or try your hand at apple pressing.

The Lions part's annual October Plenty harvest celebration will bring their colourful procession to Borough Market where they will perform their version of The Marriage of Wit and Wisdome by Henry Merbury (1579).

There will also be games, story-telling and a story orchard for the whole family to enjoy.
