2012 Olympics: Southwark Welcome Host Training

A FREE workshop that will be of special interest to frontline staff, residents, and volunteers likely to come into direct contact with visitors to London and Southwark during the Olympics.

It will also be of use to all who will be affected by London's hosting of the Games, identifying ways in which we can promote the borough while ensuring that the visitor experience is warm and welcoming.

London 2012 presents all of us with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to shine in the eyes of the world. This workshop will ensure that Southwark plays its part fully and reaps the rewards.

Learning outcomes:
• An overview of the significance and scale of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
• An understanding of the role of • frontline staff, residents, and volunteers to represent and promote Southwark and the city.
• Motivation to be pro-active Southwark hosts and ambassadors, anticipating and responding to visitor needs.
