What makes Bankside and Borough special?

Southwark Council is preparing a character study for the area in and around Bankside and Borough.

The study will help to inform planning policies for the area and the planning policy team wants to hear your views

The character study will help planners to understand the area's history and development over time and the unique and distinctive buildings, spaces and places that we see around us today.

By having a good understanding of the features and qualities that make Bankside and Borough special, planners can be better informed when producing planning guidance for new development so that this local character and distinctiveness can be sustained and enhanced.

The planning policy team would like to hear your views on the features and qualities that are important in Bankside and Borough at this workshop event.
