Join CoolTan Arts Largactyl Shuffle on a 4.8-mile psychogeographic journey to explore explore the city and its hidden stories and wonder on the shortest night of the year.
The walk starts outside the turbine hall entrance of Tate Modern at 11.45pm on Saturday night and ends at the Maudsley Hospital in Camberwell at about 5am on Sunday.
In many cultures the summer solstice has traditionally been a night for mystery and magic, when the forces of nature are at their most powerful, and the boundaries between the physical and spiritual world are at their thinnest.
The walk will examine London's famous night walkers and their inspirations, the connection between city living and anxiety, the 'mad' buildings of Southwark, and surrealist art and artists.
Last year's walk attracted 100+ participants and was a fun and enjoyable night for all.
