Among the streets of the dead city

For the 70th anniversary of VE Day Jon Newman leads a walk through north Lambeth that tries to assess the post- war destruction that confronted the borough in May 1945, the grim austerity that awaited and what was to become of some of those hugely damaged bomb sites.

Meet outside Waterloo Library at 2pm - finish Southbank Centre at 4pm.
