Apprentice chefs from Jamie Oliver's Fifteen restaurant, Lexington catering college and KPMG become market traders for the day.
As part of National Apprentice Week Borough Market will play host to Fifteen's apprentice challenge finale, where after having three days to plan, prepare and design a street food dish, the apprentices will come to Borough Market to sell their dish to the public.
Working in teams the apprentices will source their ingredients from the wealth of traders within the Market and will even have to pass a Borough Market food tasting panel, something which all traders who join the Market undertake, before being allowed to sell their food.
Split into teams, the apprentice chefs will man a stall selling their food to the hungry public. Starting their day at the market at 11am when they ring the bell to start the day's trading, they will then have until 2.45pm on their stalls to sell as much as they can.
The winners will be the team that generates the most profit.
