Join STAMP (Shad Thames Area Management Partnership for a community conversation about this award-winning bridge: its history, its structure and its future.
Built in 1995, the bridge has been through over 20 years of wear, tear and repair. It now needs attention, most crucially so that it can be opened easily to allow access for emergency services. Southwark Council is exploring all options from full refurbishment to replacement, and are aiming for a structure with a 50-year life span.
This informal consultation is an opportunity to feed in your thoughts and feelings about the existing bridge and what works best for the local community.
You'll have a chance to speak with the original architect and engineer, with representatives from the Council, with your Riverside ward councillors and with neighbours.
