Volunteer Taster Session

Want to make someone’s day? Want to talk to people, share your knowledge or gain new skills?

Whether providing a warm welcome at the entrances or helping visitors to explore the artwork in the displays, volunteers can transform a visit into something really special.

Volunteering at Tate is fun, you’ll spend time in a really great place and you’ll learn lots. It’s easy to fit in to your life - just a few hours a month.

Tate has a variety of roles, all focused on helping visitors to get the most from the galleries. Perhaps you are new to art or maybe you have been visiting Tate for years. The gallery welcomes all enquiries, no matter what your background or experience.

At the Taster Session the Tate Team will introduce you to the gallery and the current volunteer opportunities as Visitor Host Volunteer, Family Visitor Host, Tate Exchanger and Tate Guide.
