In January STAMP (Shad Thames Area Management Partnership) held an informal consultation inviting the local community to share their thoughts and feelings about this award-winning bridge.
STAMP collected some 100 responses and since then a working group, chaired by Cllr Anood Al-Samerai, has been meeting with Southwark Council and their consultants to explore all options. T
he goal has been to ensure we have a bridge over St Saviour's Dock which can be opened to allow access for emergency services and which will operate effectively over a 50-year time span.
The council's consultants are finalising their feasibility study and this event on 5 October will update local stakeholders on the position.
There'll be a chance to speak with key players from the council and elected Riverside ward councillors.
Nick Lacey (the original architect of the bridge) and Bryn Bird (the original engineer) will be attending.
