The History of Elephant and Castle

Local history librarian Stephen Humphrey has been researching the history of the Elephant for many years.
He was born in the former Lambeth Hospital, Brook Drive and his family lived in the area back to the 19th century.
He has published many books and booklets on the history of Southwark and is in planning to publish another based on this illustrated talk.
