Welcome home medal parade for territorials from 151 (London) Transport Regiment The Royal Logistics Corps (Volunteers) who have been serving in Afghanistan.
The soldiers will form up by HMS Belfast at 2pm and march to the parade in The Scoop in front of City Hall at 2.30pm.
After the parade the soldiers and their family and friends will attend a reception in the City Hall.
A 53 strong composite squadron from 151 (London) Transport Regiment, The Royal Logistic Corps (RLC) (Volunteers) has just completed a six month operational tour in Afghanistan. The Territorial Army (TA) squadron were mobilised in June 2007 under the command of Major Ian Driver and formed the Force Protection and Transport Company to the International Stabilisation and Assistance Force (ISAF) HQ based in Kabul.
A medal parade hosted by the Mayor of London and the London Assembly will take place at London's City Hall to welcome the soldiers home. Medals will be presented by Major General David Shouesmith (late RLC) in the presence of the soldiers' families and friends.
