St Alphege Clergy House, alongside the church, is to be a community house for the Society of St Francis with three sisters and two lay members in residence.
Today, St Alphege's Day, the Bishop of Woolwich blesses the house which will be known as the Oratory of St Alphege.
Afterwards there is the opportunity to meet the community over tea.
