To mark the end of the Lord Mayor's Show in the City of London and the beginning of a new mayoral year, the 682nd Lord Mayor will start a magnificent firework display on the river Thames.
The display is best viewed from the South Bank between Waterloo Bridge and Blackfriars Bridge
It takes a team of eight pyrotechnicians two days to set up more than half a tonne of giant fireworks, some of which shoot over 600ft into the sky before exploding.
