To celebrate and complement the retrospective exhibition, the Great Dixter Nursery will take up residence in the Garden Museum for a whole weekend.
The Nursery will bring with them a selection of Christopher Lloyd's favourite plants, giving a unique chance for London gardeners to buy Dixter plants and get advice from the nursery's expert plants-men without leaving the city.
The nursery at Great Dixter was started in 1954 by Christopher Lloyd. He propagated, tended and sold from there until his death in 2006.
Today Fergus Garrett and the Dixter nursery staff continue to propagate using his methods: growing his favourite tender and hardy plants in the nursery's own soil based compost.
