About Us
We are an independent, Lambeth-based, grant-making foundation and charity with roots from the early 17th century. Our work aims to break cycles of financial deprivation for people living in Lambeth by awarding grants to individuals, organisations and community groups. For the ten years to March 2022 we made grants amounting to over £20 million.
The Foundation owns and rents 100 locally based properties, the income from which, alongside our other investments, fund our grant-making, which primarily is focused on improving education and employment opportunities of young Lambeth residents from low-income backgrounds.
The Role
This is an exciting and new position as an Operations & Administration Officer (OAO). The OAO will be part of a small team and will be responsible for maintaining the back-office administration for properties locally owned by the organisation as well as for providing office management support.
The post-holder, in liaison with the Property & Estates Manager, will also research, and help us to develop our property placed-based approach (including our approaches to environmental responsibility within the property portfolio) in line with the Foundation’s strategy.
About You
We are looking for someone to join us as an Operations & Administration Officer who:
• is able to deliver great customer service to our tenants, successfully identifying, recording and resolving their queries
• is able to effectively organise and maintain a range of property management processes/documents
• is able to ensure the smooth running of the Foundation offices
• has excellent communication skills (listening, speaking and written)
• enjoys working as part of a team and is able to work independently
• has an interest in and commitment to addressing the impact of poverty on children, families and young people in Lambeth
