Part-time Administrator

16 hours a week (2 days)

About this role

• Make a 3 year commitment ot the post
• Answering all phone calls, emails and letters
• Weekly banking cheques and liaison with bookkeeper
• Arranging maintenance and repair of internet/email, computer and photocopier
• Securing computer for weekly backup and virus protection
• Updating Sesame leaflets and keeping office stocks replenished
• Keeping the book orders file and overseeing ordering of both books
• Photocopying for training events and other occasions
• Minute taking at evening Council meetings
• Administrating workshops
• Attending the Annual General Meeting to administrate voting members and minute taking
• Managing the web page
• Despatching the twice-yearly Journal
• Maintaining a filing system
• Ordering office stationery in advance of depletion of stocks
• Purchasing of stamps
• Prioritising items of work at the discretion of the Director
• Liaising with the Directors, Chair, Course Tutor, Journal Editors, Book keeper, Subscription Manager and other Sesame personnel
• Assuming responsibility for office organisation and once a month cleaning
• Maintenance of confidentiality and through communication lines
• Administrate the annual rise for paid staff
• To work unsupervised in a quiet office
• Use of Word, Outlook, Act! and Dreamweaver
• Page layout using QuarkXpress
