Finance Officer with Admin Skills

What we're looking for

ESSENTIAL PROFESSIONAL SKILLS:

• Must be proficient in Mac computers and Word, Excel, FileMaker Pro and other programmes

• We need you for a min. of 3 days per week and it is important that you are dependable on the days you do work

• Must be capable of calculating and inputing a VAT return online every quarter

• Must proactively ensure that fee bills are issued on time and chase clients to ensure that these fees are paid according to our payment terms (see cashflow floecast)

• Must be capable of producing cash flow forecasts; coordinating between our accountants

• Excellent organisational skills filing; keeping to a schedule; hassling US if we haven't done something that will cause you a delay etc.

• You will also be responsible for: arranging payment of bills, picking up billing/supplier mistakes and coordinating to get VAT/sales/purchase/bank statement documentation

• Must be self-motivated and able to come up with ideas about how things could work better, and how your role could be developed could be part of the company's growth.

• The facility is a small and friendly company and we value our reputation as such. You are an important part of the team so we need someone who is good with people, excellent on the phone, but not a pushover

• Must be organized and able to work to a schedule

• Must be good at keeping us verbally informed of what you're doing and how we can access your information

• Our company not only works on architecture projects, but also art projects, urban regeneration projects and furniture design. We have to be flexible and you have to be too - happy to pitch in and even offer before anyone asks!

• New ideas are always to be welcomed

PREFERRED:

• Possible marketing role at a later date sourcing companies etc. coming up with ideas and contacts for generating new work. For a percentage finder's fee!

The Facility Architects is dedicated to exploring new ways of producing and communicating architecture and design. Operating between architecture and art, the practice is involved with architecture projects, art and design. Projects explore a diversity of ideas ranging from regeneration and urban planning to design and innovation and emerging technologies.
