Become a Neighbourhood Helper!
We’re looking for residents of Southwark who would like to help their local community.
At Southwark Circle, we provide practical support to our members who are all aged over 50 and live in Southwark. We recruit gardeners, cleaners, computer enthusiasts, musicians or just about anyone who feels they have a skill that they’d like to offer their local community.
Maybe you could help Dorothy on Monday afternoon who would like some help with her computer? Or perhaps you’ve got Tuesday morning free to help Rob who is struggling with his garden? The people you’ll meet live nearby, you probably pass their homes every day.
Offering anywhere from 1 hour a month to 10 hours a week you would be matched to people in your local area who have requested something they would like done for them. You can give your time for free or choose to be paid the London Living Wage of £7.60 per hour for your time. So whether you’re looking to add to your CV, earn some extra money for your family or simply want to use your talents to help your local community, there’s a place for you with Southwark Circle.
We ask that all of our Neighbourhood Helpers have the right to work in the UK and that they complete a CRB check (we'll pay for this) in order for us to provide the best possible service to our members.
So if you're a resident of Southwark and eager to help your local community, call 08001123441 or email [email protected] now to find out more and for a short telephone interview.
We look forward to hearing from you!
Ryan
