Full-time one year initially
To work with the Trustees and Curriculum Managers on key areas of Borough Music School’s work including:
Fundraising
Developing links with the local community and existing and potential partners
Strategy, including business planning
Policy
Budgeting

A minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in the education and/or the arts/cultural sector
A minimum of 2 years’ fundraising experience
Excellent administrative, organisational and scheduling skills
Experience of budgeting and financial management
Good communication skills – written and oral
Motivated self-starter who is enthusiastic and willing to be fully involved as part of a team
A keen interest in the performing arts/community and educational applications thereof

Borough Music School is a Southwark charity that provides children of mainly primary age with instrumental tuition, ensemble playing and general musical development at a cost their families can afford. The project also aims to strengthen community bonds by setting performances in a community context through three termly concerts, informal concerts and participation in community events. The Music school currently provides individual and group sessions on Saturdays mornings as well as a Monday and Thursday after school session.
