Office Admin, Order Processing and Customer Service

The Really Healthy Company

£20k

About this role

Small natural-health business based near London Bridge SE1 requires an experienced well organised, professional and efficient admin person with a mature attitude, perhaps a former PA, with small-office management experience. This includes 3 hours daily of taking and processing our customers' online and telephone orders. The balance of the day includes general duties of running the office including working with our suppliers, couriers and printers. You would also work with our bookkeeper handling inventory control.

This is a full time role that will start mid-February, and the person that joins us will have good office experience. It is a role for someone who wants variety in their life, moving through each day facing ad hoc challenges, talking to business customers and the public, liaising with the Post Office and other couriers, negotiating prices with suppliers and inputting orders and then packing them off are just a few of the varied activities you will be involved in.

Person description

The successful candidate will have all the following:

• Fluent in English (essential)

• Attention to detail (very organised and systematic)

• Computer literate (Microsoft Windows environment + SAGE accounting software)

• Good with numbers, percentages and VAT calculations (you will be totaling orders etc.)

• Friendly phone manner with customers (warmth is very important)

• Common sense (which we have found is quite uncommon)

• Self-motivated (in a small company each person has to get on with their thing without the benefit of a manager breathing down their neck.)

• Available to start by mid February.

The salary will start at 18k for the first month trial period and then will go up to 20k.

It is always helpful if you have already worked in a small business environment as it is very different to a large business environment. In a small business environment, everyone, including the directors, has to muck in and make sure everything is done. The upside to this is that you don't feel like a cog in a machine and you will be working in a small but friendly environment.

How to apply

If you are interested and feel you fit the bill, please email us your CV and a short covering letter. We will also be needing references for short-listed candidates.

Thank you in advance :-)
