A team member's job scope includes shop retail duties, event organising/coordination, and cafe service. Working hours: 5-day 35-hour work week on a rota-basis (we may scale up to a 40-hour week in the future in which case salary will be pro-rated for the additional hours)
You should be a person who:
• has at least 2 years' experience in the book trade
• has no qualms about wearing many hats (that's because you may have to be a barista, event organiser and store assistant all in one day!)
• is friendly, enjoys meeting people and likes to smile (seriously!)
• has initiative and can work independently
• is a quick study, can multi task, likes challenges and able to troubleshoot
• is flexible and open to the occasional overtime (that's because some events may take place after hours)
• likes books (obviously)
• wants a career where you'll be able to exercise lots of different skills
