£21.59 per hour
part-time, fixed term, 115.5 hrs pa
The school operates 11am to 2pm on Saturdays during term-time.
The children are from Reception age to Year 6.
The teacher will be expected:
To prepare and teach interesting activity based, child-centred classes mainly relating to Mathematics and English.
To work in consultation with other staff, sharing planning and execution of the curriculum.
To liaise with parents.
To exercise pastoral care and help children develop a sense of worth, confidence and respect for self, others and property.
Teaching qualification.
Experience teaching primary school children.
Sympathy with the Christian values of the school.
Ability to work in a multi-cultural setting.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to manage people and resources.
Willingness to take responsibility for the development of the school.
The South London Mission (SLM)is part of the Methodist Church, Great Britain. SLM is in the process of registering for Charity Status, having previously been covered under an exemption.
