Educational and Mentor Youth Worker

Main base is The Old Mortuary, St Marychurch Street, Rotherhithe. The post holder may at times be required to operate from other bases in the area.

Youth projects, accreditation and mentoring.

To provide services for young people in the Rotherhithe and Bermondsey area as part of the Time and Talents youth project.

The successful candidate must have experience of working with young people in both non¬-formal and informal settings. The candidate needs to have a wide breadth of experience including outreach, youth club and community work and must have experience of leading and managing youth work sessions. They must also have experience of planning and leading educational projects to young people aged 8-17 years old. The post holder will have no supervisory or financial responsibilities. They will have previous experience of working with young people to plan and evaluate projects and the ability to write coherent reports.
