About this role

To provide comprehensive administrative support to staff and members of SBEG and its partners, to include front of house, and secretarial duties.

1. To work with Admin & Office Manager to ensure that the office runs smoothly at all times.

2. To act as receptionist and carry out the “front of house” function.

3. To provide high-quality secretarial support to the teams.

Person description

Essential
At least 1 year experience of providing secretarial or administrative support to a team in an office environment
High degree of organisational ability, accuracy and attention to detail.
IT literate, to include experience of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Access
Excellent inter-personal skills, the ability to communicate in person and in writing, an excellent telephone manner and experience of dealing with a range of contacts including MP’s, councillors, Board Members, contractors and members of the public
Flexible approach to work and a “can do” attitude.
Ability to prioritise competing tasks, even when under pressure, in a methodical and systematic manner and to meet deadlines.
Interest in and a commitment to regeneration of the environment where people live, work and visit.

Desirable
Experience of minute taking
Accurate, fast typing (in excess of 60wpm) and the ability to audio-type
Financial skills/experience including experience on SAGE
Experience of providing troubleshooting support on IT matters or a willingness to learn
Experience of diary management
