Saturday Market
A new Saturday Market was launched in Lower Marsh on 1 March 2014 in response to significant local interest in the introduction of a new food market in the area.
Unlike the weekday market, which is a mixed market with a sizeable takeaway food element, the Saturday Market focuses almost exclusively on the provision of good quality, fresh produce. It has a mix of traders, ranging from day-to-day produce to specialist and organic traders.
The vision for the Saturday market is:
- A unique market that is distinct to Waterloo and reflects the area’s character
- A local market that showcases some of the high quality outlets and offerings in the area
- A quality market that raises the game in Lower Marsh
- A place to shop, not a tourist attraction
