About this role

We are looking for someone to be responsible for coordinating the responsive maintenance service as well as additional administrative tasks.

You will mainly be responsible for liaising with both the co-op residents and contractors to ensure work is delivered in a timely fashion and according to our maintenance procedures.

You will also be required to track data and keep within the maintenance annual budget.

You will maintain and manage the portfolio of approved contractors for the co-op, managing the relationship with contractors to ensure issues are dealt with within agreed service levels.

At times you will also be required to work with our Housing Association and their Maintenance team.

As the role supports responsive maintenance issues, you must be willing to be flexible.

You will be reporting to the maintenance sub-group which is made up of members of BSHP. You may at times be required to attend maintenance meetings.

Person description

Essential
• Self employed
• Proven experience tracking budgets for projects
• Knowledge and experience using online databases including google drive
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Office
• High level of customer service
• Excellent planning and time management skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Desirable
• Proven experience working in a housing co-operative
• Proven experience working within a maintenance services capacity
• A recognised qualification - either an NVQ Level 2 in Housing or CIH Level 2 Certificate in Housing Maintenance (QCF) or equivalent
• Knowledge and practical experience of delivering front line housing maintenance services with previous exposure to housing refurbishments and health and safety requirements

We are an organisation run by its members who are in control of their housing in return for taking responsibility for their own housing management. The 21 flats which make up BSHP is owned by a Housing Association and the overall running of the properties is managed by the co-op’s members.
