Part-time, fixed term post until 18th December 2016
This is a public facing role where the Weekend Receptionist will play a key role in ensuring that clients, members of the public and visitors have the best possible experience when visiting Rambert. The main purpose of the role will be to open and lock up the building on a Sunday, ensure any hires on that day have everything they require and to be the first point of contact for any additional public enquiries.
The post holder reports to the General Manager.
DUTIES OF THE POST INCLUDE
• Being the first point of contact and dealing with general telephone and personal enquiries and visitors
• Meeting and greeting hires and ensuring their requirements are met
• Organising the opening and closing of the building for hires
• Being a nominated first-aider (training will be provided if necessary)
• Being a nominated key holder and ensuring the building is secure, when the last to leave.
• Any other duties considered reasonable by the line manager
• At all times carrying out duties and responsibilities with regard to Rambert's policies and procedures, details of which are available from the Company Administrator

Salary: £10.80 per hour.
Hours of work: The post holder will work a minimum of 7 hours on Sundays between the hours of 8.30am–8.30pm, with potential for additional hours during the week and Saturdays.
Holiday entitlement: You will accrue holiday in accordance with the company policy
Rambert has a training and personal development policy.
This is a fixed- contract terminating on 18th December 2016 with the potential for extension. During this period, your employment will be subject to a notice period of two weeks by either party.
KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE POST
Rambert is comprised of a team of highly skilled and committed people. All staff members are expected to contribute as appropriate to the Company’s success and engage in the life of the Company.
Essential
• experience of providing a welcoming and efficient service to a wide range of staff and visitors
• able to take responsibility for matters such as evacuating in case of a fire, securing the building when last to leave
• honest and able to maintain confidentiality
• reliable and with an excellent record of attendance and punctuality
• available to cover weekend shifts
• manual handling experience as it may involve the lifting and moving of equipment/furniture
Desirable
• an interest and knowledge of the performing arts, especially dance
• experience of simple event management
• lives within easy reach of Rambert’s premises
• able to start as soon as possible
• current first aid trained
