About this role

Southwark Cathedral is the oldest Gothic church in London and a popular destination for visitors. We are situated in the heart of the vibrant, and every-changing Bankside area close to Tate Modern, Shakespeare's Globe and The Shard.

The Visits & Tours Officer will work closely with the Retail and Visitor Services Manager to promote the Cathedral nationally and internationally as a visitor attraction and as a means of achieving challenging targets for income growth from the Cathedral's tourist-related activities. They will handle all tour group administration, supporting the team of volunteer guides, and also undertaking tours on occasions. They will also work as part of a team ensuring that those who visit the Cathedral receive the highest possible quality of welcome and learn about the history and ministry of this place.
