Kitchen Porter

The Laughing Gravy is looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic kitchen porter to assist the team of chefs with the day to day running of the kitchen.

• To follow the cleaning schedules for the kitchen and clean the section and other areas as directed.
• To ensure that all kitchen ware is cleaned and well maintained including using all PPE chemicals appropriately.
• To report any maintenance issues to the Head Chef immediately.
• To comply with all Laughing Gravy policies and procedures to ensure that all-statutory regulations are observed.
• To comply with the conditions of the food hygiene policies.
• To be flexible and willing to help other departments at busy times if required.
• Prepare the dishwasher for the days use by checking that it is in full working order, has sufficient chemicals for the days operation, and that it is cleaned as directed.
• Make sure that all the dirty crockery and cutlery is cleared, wash in the appropriate dishwasher; once cleaned, stack all items safely on the correct shelves or send clean crockery, cutlery and glassware to the appropriate outlet as required by the waiting staff;
• Make sure that the your designated machines and equipment are kept clean and in good working order
• Principal duties includes the thorough cleaning of designated areas, sweeping and mopping of floors, ensuring that all surfaces are hygienically cleaned as instructed

The ideal candidate must be hard working, enthusiastic and keen to learn.

There is a real chance for progression through the kitchen and on site training from the team of experienced chefs.

Must be proficient in English.
