£33,580 per annum
12-month fixed term contract (maternity cover)
The Commercial team is responsible for income generation and business growth through sourcing occupants for our commercial units and clients for our venues. The Commercial team deliver over 600 events from our venues and are continually building partnerships and liaising with key stakeholders across the South Bank areas.
We are seeking a proactive Sales & Events Manager to increase revenue and occupancy for our conference and meetings business. You will be responsible for securing sales from new and existing clients as well as managing event logistics in close liaison with our operational team.
The successful person will possess the following:
•Experience of working in a customer facing role
•Experience of working in a busy sales role
•Extensive experience in proactive sales development from a conference and meeting background
•Previous commercial client relationships in corporate, charitable, agency and government sectors
•Excellent communication skills
•Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage conflicting priorities to meet deadlines
•Experience of co-ordinating and organising events
•Ability to take the initiative and an enthusiastic, proactive approach to work
•Strong IT and administration skills, with excellent attention to detail
•Experience of using Rendezvous booking system would be an advantage
