About this role

Bankside Open Spaces Trust is looking for sessional workers to run our gardening groups on various days and carry out general garden maintenance.

Hours:
The Third Thursday of every Month from 3pm-5:30pm leading a gardening volunteer group.
Ad hoc hours when needed for cover of gardening groups or general garden maintenance work.

Location: Local parks and open spaces in SE1 around Waterloo and Borough

Pay: £12.12 per hour.

Person description

Skills Needed: Good knowledge and experience of gardening and confident in a leading a group. Enthusiastic, good people skills and passionate about gardening. Diversity training, experience working with people with mental health needs, learning disabilities etc is desirable but not essential. Health and Safety training would also be desirable. Further training in Health and Safety, first aid and group leadership will be provided if required.

Outline when you are available to work e.g. mornings, afternoons, weekends, etc. If you are shortlisted we will invite you to an informal meeting to discuss the post in further detail. The nature of our work means that we would need to ask for a DBS check, two references and proof of identity. BOST can carry out the DBS check if you do not have one. You will receive a response within 3 weeks of application.
