The Centre for Community Learning and Engagement is seeking to appoint a team of sessional Community Outreach and Engagement Workers to provide support with community outreach and engagement activities.
Job responsibilities will include building links with community members, groups and organisations in order to understand local interests in courses and barriers to learning. Equally important would be to record and communicate those to the Centre, advise students of upcoming courses and refer potential partners to the Centre.
The successful candidates will have good knowledge of one or more local communities, proven experience of working with those who have barriers to participating in learning, as well as excellent communication, organisational and IT skills and the ability to work to deadlines.
This position requires an enhanced DBS check.
