Freelance Kitchen Team Lead

Approximately 10hrs per week contract at £12ph– exact timings vary but approximate spread over Monday (11.30-9.00 pm) and a monthly Wednesday meeting (9.30-11.30 am). Needs to have knowledge and experience of working with vulnerable adults. Food business and/or events experience in a leadership position and a flexible positive attitude essential.

Essential
Knowledge and experience of working with volunteers

Knowledge and experience of managing a kitchen and/or cafe/food events
Knowledge and Experience of financial reporting and cash handling
Relevant Health & Safety and Food Hygiene certificates
Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a closely knit team
Creative, adaptable and flexible with a "can do" attitude

Desirable
Knowledge and experience of social networking and marketing
Personal experience of mental illness and recovery

The Dragon Café is the flagship project of charity Mental Fight Club. An open, welcoming space which puts on exciting, well-organised and inspirational creative events and programmes exploring mental illness, recovery and wellbeing, as well as simply being a place to be.

The Dragon Café is located in Borough and open every Monday from 12 midday to 8.30 pm, providing an affordable, healthy menu each week, and a wide range of creative and well-being activities, all of which are free and open to all.
