Communications and Marketing Manager

Coin Street Community Builders

£30,000-£32,000 depending on experience

Full-time

About this role

At Coin Street we aim to create a healthy, inspirational and resilient community. We’re proud to have built a national and international reputation for mixed developments combining housing, cultural, commercial and community uses. Coin Street is a high profile central London social enterprise with many and varied stakeholders and our neighbourhood is going through significant change.

We have transformed a largely derelict 13-acre site into a thriving place for people to live, work and visit by creating co-operative homes; shops, galleries, restaurants, cafes and bars; a park and riverside walkway; sports facilities; by organising festivals and events; and by providing childcare, family support, learning, and enterprise support programmes. Income generated from our commercial activities stays in the neighbourhood. It is used to manage and maintain our site including the riverside walkway and Bernie Spain Gardens and funds a wide range of community programmes in Waterloo and North Southwark.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced communicator and marketer to inspire others with our stories. The role is responsible for managing all aspects of our communications, marketing and press work. You will lead on developing and delivering integrated campaigns which support Coin Street’s purpose and values. This involves raising brand awareness and managing Coin Street’s reputation through improving stakeholder and audience engagement. The main objectives are to increase awareness of our work and impact as well as supporting colleagues to reach participants of our community services and generate income from our commercial venues and properties.

The successful candidate will be creative and driven, have strong communications skills and an eye for detail. You will have proven experience of delivering successful campaigns working across print and digital media as well as PR and stakeholder engagement. Committed to the work of the organisation, you will have highly developed interpersonal skills, be self-motivated and organised.

If you have the skills and attributes, experience and enthusiasm, and share our values, we would like to hear from you.

In return we can offer you:

an excellent salary and benefits package
27 days annual leave (pro rata for part-time)
free gym membership
support for professional development and training
an open plan and unique environment in the heart of London’s South Bank with excellent transport links
an excellent appraisal system linked to performance, professional development and training
being part of a diverse organisation with strong links to the local community

To apply please complete an application form available on our website https://coinstreet.org/jobs/communications-and-marketing-manager/ as well as an up to date CV to be submitted to [email protected].

The closing date is 9am on Monday 30 July 2018. Interviews will take place on 7 and 8 August 2018.

Coin Street Community Builders strives to be an equal opportunities organisation and all staff are expected to share this commitment.

Our values are:

Creative: By looking for solutions rather than problems I will find better ways of doing things
Collaborative: By respecting the views of others we will learn, grow and achieve more together
Committed: I do what I say I am going to do and do the best job I can.
The 3 Cs are lived by all staff at CSCB. You will be expected to demonstrate your understanding of the behaviours associated with these values during the recruitment.
