Voluntary Role
Can you inspire children of all ages? Do you have a natural ability to make people feel welcome? We are looking for enthusiastic people keen to inspire families to explore the artworks at Tate Modern and Tate Britain.
Your role would be to welcome family visitors to Tate Modern and Tate Britain at weekends and school holidays, helping them to plan their visit and create unique and rewarding
experiences.
Volunteering Commitment
. Volunteering for a minimum of 6 months.
. Volunteering twice a month for 2 hours, with 1 or 2 extra shifts during school holidays.
. Volunteering available on Saturday’s and Sundays, and also Thursday’s and Fridays during school holidays.
We offer training for the role and opportunities to socialise with other volunteers and staff, to attend exhibition tours, and participate in late events and talks.
We welcome all enquiries from the local community, no matter what your background or experience – you just need to enjoy helping other people and want to be part of the gallery.

Tate holds the national collection of British art from 1500 to the present day and international modern and contemporary art.
In London we have two art galleries: Tate Britain and Tate Modern. The overall aim of Tate Modern is to increase public understanding and enjoyment of international modern and contemporary art. Tate Visitor Experience has overall responsibility for delivering the highest standards of care to all who visit the galleries.

Saturday 6 October, Taster Session, 11.00-14.00
It is not necessary to attend both dates – these are a chance to find out about the programme and for us to informally assess suitability for the role.
