Engagement Coordinator

Drawing Room

£19,200 Salary (equivalent to £24,000 p/a)

4 days p/w

About this role

The Engagement Coordinator is an exciting new position which will be instrumental in the delivery of Drawing Room’s growing engagement programme that reaches diverse audiences through artist-led workshops, projects and events. A major part of the role will be coordinating ROCK PAPER SCISSORS, an ambitious three-year programme connecting artists, children, teachers and families - invigorating drawing practice within primary education and making positive change within our local community. We are seeking someone who is highly motivated, organised, has excellent communication skills and who can relate to the local community of Elephant and Castle. We particularly encourage applications from people of colour and candidates that are currently underrepresented within the creative industries.

About Drawing Room

Drawing Room is a not-for-profit gallery, library, shop and online resource that is dedicated to opening up the world of contemporary drawing to everyone. It is internationally renowned for stimulating debate around the nature and purpose of drawing today. Through free exhibitions, artists’ talks, courses, engagement projects and a unique library it nurtures the production of drawings and promotes understanding of them. Currently based in Elephant & Castle, Drawing Room has both an international following and meaningful connections within our local community of Southwark.
