Director of Engagement

Unicorn Theatre

£32,000 per annum (equivalent to £40,000 full-time)

Permanent, part-time

About this role

This newly created post will lead on the development and delivery of the Unicorn’s new Engagement Strategy across schools and in the community for those aged 0-13 years. Collaborating closely with artists and young people, our Engagement Programme combines national digital projects with co-creative partnership working in our local boroughs and across London.

A key member of the Senior Management Team, the Engagement Director joins us at an exciting moment as we reopen for our autumn season, increase and deepen access to our work, and begin to build closer working relationships with our stakeholders. 2021 will see the Unicorn work with children on the development of its stage shows and online productions in a unique and innovative way that places our audience at the centre of our work.

Contract: Part-time (4 days, or 32 hours per week), permanent. We will consider applications for flexible working, and job-sharing.

Salary: £32,000 per annum (equivalent to £40,000 full-time)
Closing date for applications: Midday, Friday 28 May 2021
First Interviews: Wednesday 9 and Thursday 10 June 2021

First interviews will take place via Zoom. Second interviews will take place the following week, and we’d hope to arrange meeting in person at the Unicorn for those.
