Director of Communications and Engagement

Better Bankside is seeking an exceptional individual to become our Director of Communications and Engagement.

This is a new leadership role created in response to the growing BID area, a larger membership and increased ambition. The postholder will develop and lead a coherent communications strategy that raises Better Bankside’s profile as an innovative, thought leading organisation, and celebrates Bankside’s character, building on the area’s reputation as one of the world’s greatest neighbourhoods. The Director of Communications and Engagement will also be responsible for enhancing breadth and depth of engagement with our business membership, community stakeholders and partners.

The Director of Communications and Engagement will be a problem solver and a creative thinker, bringing forward new ideas that benefit business and Banksiders and improve the experience of the area.

Better Bankside is an organisation where you can make a real impact; and where you can expect to get involved in a wide-ranging programme of work. We are a small team of fifteen in the Bankside office, plus our wardens and street cleaning teams. The way that we work with our members through our governance structure provides an extended network of regular collaborators and contributors.
