Office Assistant
We are looking for a motivated Office Assistant to help with daily administrative operations of the company and the office. The ideal candidate will be hard-working, responsible, and able to undertake a wide variety of office support tasks, working diligently under pressure. Reporting to the Office Manager for all regular office administration tasks the Office Assistant role will also provide ad hoc support to the Venue Manager and to the wider team to ensure the smooth running of the business.
Based in lovely offices in London Bridge with a small, friendly and ambitious team, this is a fantastic role for a bright and highly organised candidate able to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and energy. Ideal for a recent graduate looking for an engaging role within the property sector.
Responsibilities:
- Performing receptionist duty inc. handling incoming calls and post, organising meeting rooms and greeting visitors
- Helping organise and maintain our office
- Performing general office duties and errands and providing general help to the team wherever needed
- Assisting with invoices, expenses, receipts etc.
- Scheduling meetings and appointments and keeping calendars up to date
- Managing and keeping our filing system up to date
- Monitoring office supplies and assisting with general orders for the office
- Giving access to our buildings for maintenance contractors and other visitors and locking up after
- Some events support duties
- Occasional PA duties
It is a very varied role, and the ideal candidate will be comfortable being hands-on and tackling very diverse tasks - you could be doing reconciliation, opening various spaces for contractors, scanning documents and taking meter reads in several buildings all in one day! You will also support the whole team and as such you will need to be able to prioritise tasks and be a confident communicator.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as office assistant
- Good written and spoken English
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Cheerful and positive personality
- Strong, proactive work ethic with a hands-on attitude
- Calm and positive approach to a busy and multi-faceted role
- Microsoft Office and general IT skills
- Personable with strong communication skills
Starting date: as soon as possible
