Coin Street Community Builders (CSCB) is a not-for-profit social enterprise and development trust responsible for developing and managing a significant part of London’s South Bank. The new Coin Street neighbourhood centre brings together our family & children and learning & enterprise support facilities, providing new offices for our staff, a neighbourhood cafe, restaurant, and extensive conference and meeting facilities. As the designated children’s centre for the area, it offers an Ofsted registered 64-place day nursery for children aged 3 months to 5 years, a crèche, out of school provision, holiday play schemes, youth clubs and other activities for young people, parents/carers, families and childminders. Children benefit from the purpose-designed environment with areas for a variety of educational activities. An outside play area allows children to explore and enjoy the environment. Fresh healthy meals are prepared by our on-site chef.
We offer excellent training and career development opportunities to all our staff and the staff team includes a full-time qualified teacher. To help strengthen and develop our educational philosophy and practice we have commissioned the Centre for Literacy in Primary Education (CLPE) to support the childcare team in their professional development.
