JOB OVERVIEW
This varied role works within the Centre’s Operations team and manages the administration of the CLPE Learning Programme. All our staff are part of the wider CLPE team and are therefore expected to work as part of that team to fulfil the Charity’s aims and objectives.
Many of the responsibilities of this role could be completed remotely if preferred, but with a minimum one day per week working from our Centre.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Responsible for the administration of courses, conferences and other events delivered both online and in person, from booking to delivery. This includes, but is not necessarily limited to:
• Ensuring all courses are scheduled in the Centre calendar
• Ensuring all online courses and events are scheduled and booked on Zoom or the appropriate platform
• Ensuring all course and event bookings are completely and accurately recorded and invoiced
• Ensuring all participants receive appropriate communications before the course or event, including ensuring customer access to online courses and events
• Ensuring all participants receive appropriate communications after the course or event, including the issuing of evaluation requests
• Collating evaluation feedback in line with internal reporting framework
• Be the first point of contact for all enquiries relating to courses and events
2. Work with the Finance & Operations team to ensure that all financial and administration procedures are followed, and provide general support on an ad hoc basis
APTITUDES, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good customer service skills, and/or desire to attend customer service training
• An ability to liaise and communicate effectively with a wide range of staff at different levels within the organisation and outside of the organisation
• An understanding of financial sales processes, including online booking processes
• Competence with core Microsoft Office applications, Forms and online platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
• Willingness to work as part of a team.
The Centre for Literacy in Primary Education (CLPE) is a UK based children's literacy charity working with primary schools. Our work raises the achievement of children's reading and writing by helping schools to teach literacy creatively and effectively, putting quality children’s books at the heart of all learning. We offer courses at our literacy library in central London, deliver online training and provide a wide range of free teaching resources for Primary teachers.
