Frost Fair becomes Flood Fair as Thames bursts its banks

Traders setting up stalls for Bankside's Frost Fair got more than they bargained for when the Thames burst its banks and flooded the riverside walkway outside Tate Modern, taking out the fair's power supply.

5-year licence for Resonance FM

Resonance 104.4 fm, the arts radio station for the South Bank and Bankside, has been awarded a new five-year community radio licence by Southwark Bridge-based media regulator Ofcom.

Police: "deeply disappointed" with Morley manslaughter verdict

Assistant Commissioner Tarique Ghaffur says that he is "deeply disappointed" that the jury in the David Morley murder trial returned a verdict of guilty to manslaughter and not murder.
