City Hall weekend public access under threat

Since City Hall opened in 2002 members of the public have been able to visit the building and enjoy the view from the top floor during one weekend each month. Now budget cuts could spell the end of this public access.

Greet Street entrance proposed for Waterloo East Station

Network Rail has submitted a planning application to create a new entrance to Waterloo East Station in Greet Street in a bid to relieve overcrowding.

Human rights activist Peter Tatchell was among the speakers at a public meeting last week which brought together many of those concerned by the impact of housing developments connected with the Elephant & Castle on open space in North Southwark.
