The South Bank Patrol scheme run by local businesses was last week named the winner of a national security industry award.
Pupils from three Southwark schools were recognised for their achievement on IPC Media's Schools' Design Programme at a ceremony and exhibition that showcased their magazine designs.
An audience of more than 200 people gathered in The Scoop at More London on Wednesday to watch a performance by 10 adults with learning disabilities who attend Bede House and 10 schoolchildren from nearby Grange Primary School.
