Alcohol banned in Waterloo parks to combat 'rowdy' street drinkers

Lambeth Council has this week introduced a total ban on alcoholic drinks in both St John's Church Gardens and Ufford Street Recreation Ground in response to complaints about anti-social behaviour.

40-metre giant advert at Elephant & Castle approved by inspector

A planning inspector has overruled Southwark Council and granted permission for a temporary illuminated advertising banner 40 metres high on the northern side of Draper House at Elephant & Castle.

Waterloo-Heathrow rail link wins backing from two more boroughs

A proposal for a new rail link from Waterloo to Heathrow Airport promoted by Wandsworth Council has been endorsed by two more west London local authorities.
