Sadiq Khan formally revokes Boris's Garden Bridge decisions

City Hall says that the taxpayer could lose £46.4 million if the Garden Bridge is not built, as Sadiq Khan formally revokes the decision by his predecessor Boris Johnson to underwrite the bridge's future maintenance costs.

The Sunbathers: Festival of Britain sculpture back on South Bank

A sculpture displayed at Waterloo Underground Station during the Festival of Britain in 1951 has returned to the South Bank this summer after a crowdfunding appeal by Historic England to raise funds for its restoration.

Police seek Coronet licence review after '250 rushed front door'

The Metropolitan Police has applied to have the licence of The Coronet at the Elephant & Castle reviewed by Southwark councillors "on the basis that the premises is associated with serious disorder".

50 years on, steam-hauled Bournemouth Belle back at Waterloo

Half a century after the last regular steam-hauled Bournemouth Belle luxury train left Waterloo Station, the scene was recreated for a £450-a-head railtour.
