Top Ten Tips from Topnotch

1. Increase your cardio-vascular exercise with activities such as jogging, running, swimming and cycling.

2. Gradually reduce the fat in your diet. Steer clear of fried foods, cheese, pastry, biscuits and takeaways.

3. Eat several small meals through the day.

4. Snack on fruit and crunchy vegetables, not nuts and crisps.

5. Drink plenty of water.

6. Don't crash diet - you'll soon feel deprived and will quickly regain any weight lost.

7. Join a health club and try to exercise three or four times a week.

8. Increase lean tissue with a sensible weight training programme.
9. Stay motivated.

10. Consider a personal trainer.
