300 days until the Millennium
A walk from Southwark Cathedral to St Paul's Cathedral is planned for Sunday 7 March when there will be exactly 300 days to go until the Millennium.
An invitation has gone out to heed the call made by U2's Bono at the Brit Awards to mark the occasion by joining the Jubilee 2000 campaign to free the world's poorest countries of their debts.
Granting remission at jubilees is a Biblical tradition. The walkers will be joining representatives of London's boroughs, London MPs and media celebrities at St Paul's for a Millennium 2000 musical meditation and public meeting under the banner 'Something for London to be really proud of in the Millennium'.
The Southwark walk begins at 5pm.
