our London event kicks off Coin Street Festival

This year's Coin Street Festival launches on Sunday 30 April with our London, a "citizens' festival" timed to coincide with the first elections for London's mayor and assembly. LWT's cameras will be following the candidates as they mix with the crowds and broadcasting live from the event.

Other features include an exhibition with stalls from London campaign groups, an explanation of the voting process and a festival programme of free music, comedy, street theatre, food, drink and other entertainment.

The Coin Street Festival continues until September -�the programme of free events includes old favourites like Gran Gran Fiesta, the Community Celebration and Indian Summer, plus BBC Music Live on 29 May.
