MOMI to close

The Museum of the Moving Image on the South Bank is to close at the end of August. Part of the collection will go on tour whilst other elements may go to the Science Museum.

Meanwhile there are plans for a new MOMI as part of the British Film Institute complex which is due to open around 2005. The centre will include the National Film Theatre and Library and be linked to IMAX making the South Bank Britain's film centre.
